Focus Group

I have formed a focus group with 6 girls aged 15-19 so that they can help me make decisions regarding my music video. I have asked girls of this age as these are my target audience and it is the type of song they usually listen to. Whenever I need to make a decision on what frame to use, what actress, what setting etc. I will ask them because they will help me make the right decision so that my music video appeals to my target audience.

After showing them my animatic they said they liked the song because it was catchy and upbeat. They said it was a good song to choose, as my target audience would like it. They also said that it was a good choice because it is fairly unknown which would mean my target audience would not compare it to its original video. They said my narrative was a good one and they liked my idea of having a frame of a magazine so that they could easily identify what the narrative is about. They also like the way my music video ends. When I asked them if it mattered if I had a drum kit or not in the performance section, they said not really as they prefer to watch the narrative than the performance.
